OKTYABRSKAYA RAILROAD MUSEUM, Central Oktyabrskaya Railroad Museum situated at 114 Obvodny Canal Embankment. Founded in 1979 in the Road Centre of Scientific and Technical Information and Propaganda at 62 Liteyny Avenue. In 2001, it moved to the former Marx House of Culture and Technology designed by architect G. G. von Goli and built in 1896 for the Society of Religious and Moral Education. The expanded exposition displays materials on the history of the Oktyabrskaya Railroad (former Nikolaevskaya Railroad). The museum has 25 branches in the North-West of Russia including the Railway Equipment Museum at Varshavsky (Warsaw) Terminal and Old Railway Equipment Museum at Shushary Station.
