The Ministry consisted of the Department (from 1892, the Main Office) of Principalities (39 Liteiny Avenue), His Imperial Majesty's Cabinet, the Chapter for Russian Emperors' and Tsar's Orders (from 1842), the Expedition of Ceremonies (from 1858; from 1892 — Ceremonial part), the Court Chapel and Orchestra, the Imperial Hermitage, the Imperial Hunt, the Direction of St. Petersburg Imperial Theatres, the Imperial Academy of Arts, the Rota of Court Grenadiers, the Imperial Archaeological Committee, the Court Offices (Petersburg, Tsarskoe Selo, Peterhof, Gatchina), the Imperial Family's Court Offices, and others. In 1905, the Court Commandant Office - which directed the Special Section of Police, Court Guard, the Mobile Guard, and a network of agents - was added to the Ministry to safeguard the Emperor and His residences. After the February Revolution of 1917, the Ministry was abolished, and palace maintenance was reassigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Structural units of the Ministry were situated in the Winter Palace at 32 Dvortsovaya Embankment and 20 Fontanka River Embankment.
