January. The off-department commission was organized for the improvement of the sanitary condition of Tsarskoye Selo, the aim of this commission was to work out the plan for the constructing of the new sewerage system using the preliminary purification of the effluent by the biology method.

The extension for the Main Hall with the great staircase , at the building of the Town Council, was constructed to the design by the architect A.R. Bach.

7-9 May. In the Tsarskoye Selo Chinese Theatre, the performance was performed in honour of Loubet, president of France, who was in Russia with the official visit in order to strengthen the alliance between France and Russia.

21 June. The ceremonial public prayer and the military parade on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the Life-Guard His Majesty Cuirassier Regiment took place on the parade ground in front of the Catherine Palace.

16 September. The Tsarskoye Selo Trade College named after Nicholas II was opened at the special equipped building designed by the architect А.N. Iossa (its present address is 24 Gospitalnaya Street )

The Private School of E.S. Levitskaya was opened at the building formerly belonged to the Tsarskoye Selo racecourse that was the start of the joint study of the children of both genders in Russia. I.F. Annensky took the active part in the creating of the program for this new educational establishment. School worked until 1917 г.

6 December. The Emperor railway, connecting the Vitebsk Station - Tsarskoye Selo (Emperor Pavilion) - the Aleksandrovskaya Station -the Warsaw Station by means of the branch line, began to operate. Annensky Innokenty Fedorovich
