SUVOROV Nikolay Georgievich (1889-1972, Leningrad), art director, People's Artist of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic in 1969. He graduated from Saratov Art College in 1909. Living in Leningrad from 1927, he worked at Sevzapkino Film Studio later renamed Lenfilm in collaboration with directors V. M. Petrov, F. M. Ermler, I. E. Heifits, A. G. Ivanov, et al. He designed many musical films. The theme of St. Petersburg appeared in Lenin's Address and Peter the Great directed by Petrov in 1927 and 1937-39, Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov by G. L. Roshal in 1951 and 1953, Mikhailo Lomonosov by Ivanov in 1955, SHKID Republic by G. I. Poloka in 1966, etc. He was awarded Stalin Prizes in 1946 and 1951. Buried at Northern Cemetery.
