Zazersky N.A. (1907-1980), architect

ZAZERSKY Nikolay Alexeevich (1907, St. Petersburg - 1980, Leningrad), architect, artist. Son of A.I. Zazersky. Graduated from the Forestry Engineering-Building Academy (1937). Worked at Lenproject Institute, and took part in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. In the 1950s, he participated in mass residential construction in the Sosnovaya Polyana, Peterhof, and Okhta districts, and at 70-78 Bolshoy Sampsonievsky Avenue. In the 1960s, a complex of apartment houses was erected according to his design at the intersection of Novocherkassky and Zanevsky avenues. He worked using Classical architectural forms, and initiated a number of competitive projects. He is buried at the Yuzhnoe Cemetery.
