MUNZ Oskar Rudolfovich (1871-1942, Leningrad), architect, professor, architecture theorist. From the family of the Consul General of the Netherlands. Resided in St. Petersburg from 1889. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (1896). Designer of the house of the First Public Assembly at 90 Griboedov Canal Embankment (1905-07), residential house at 24 Narvsky Avenue (1910s), co-author of the Volkhovskaya hydroelectric power station and the main substation on Polustrovsky Avenue. (1919-26). From 1933, he was head of the workshop at Lenproject Institute. Developed projects for other cities. Died during the siege of Leningrad, buried in a common grave at the Smolenskoe Cemetery.
