GERBERTS Baltazar Baltazarovich (1853-1932), mining engineer and entrepreneur. He was a founder of two metallurgical monopolies - Gvozd Syndicate and Provoloka Syndicate, in 1903 and 1909, respectively, and a member of the board at the latter. He took part in the work of Prodamet Syndicate and had links to chemical industry groups. Gerberts was a member of the board at a number of enterprises, which were mainly subcontractors of these syndicates, including St. Petersburg Iron-Casting and Wire Works, Tentelevsky Chemical Plant, as well as Rossiya Insurance Company. Gerberts was also a member of the Council of the Society of Plant and Factory Owners in St. Petersburg. He left for Finland after October 1917.
