SMOLYACHKOVO (until 1948 Ino), the former village, since 1998 - a municipal establishment forming part of Kurortny District, in the resort zone on the north coast of the Gulf of Finland, on the boundary with Leningrad Region. The most distant region from the central part of the city. The population consists of 600 people (2001). The settlement was renamed after Hero of the Soviet Union F.A. Smolyachkov (1923-42). In the early 20th century, the Ino Fort forming a part of the defence system of Kronstadt Fortress was constructed in this area. In 1918-40, the village belonged to Finland. The present-day Smolyachkovo features the Red Star holiday home for military veterans and Vostok-6 boarding house.
