UST-SLAVYANKA, an area to the south-east of Rybatskoe, on the right bank of the Slavyanka River, where it flows into the Neva River. The name appeared before the foundation of St. Petersburg. Until the early 19th century, the village of Ust-Slavyanka existed mainly thanks to carrier's trade and providing lodging to carts that went along Shlisselburgsky track. In Lesnaya Zavodskaya village, located in the eastern part of Ust-Slavyanka, small saw-mills and brickworks have functioned since the middle of the 19th century. The present-day architecture of the western part of Ust-Slavyanka represents individual residential houses of the 20th century, while in the west there are practically no residential buildings left. Today, there are separate industrial enterprises (Plant of Assembling Equipment, Tekhnolog Design Office, Plant of Logging Equipment, etc.).
