INTERNATIONALISTOV PARK is situated in the south part of St. Petersburg, in Kupchino, between Slavy Avenue, Yuzhnoe Freeway, Bukharestskaya Street and Sofiiskaya Street. It was founded in the late 20th century in memory of soldiers who died in Afghanistan. A monument was installed there in 1998. The park area is approximately 45 hectares in size. The Church of the Great Holy Martyr George the Victory Bearer was erected in the west outskirts of the city in 2003. A system of elongated ponds is in the centre, with foliose trees planted around them. A interweaving paths intersect the planting.
