Antsiferov Award

ANTSIFEROV AWARD, an international prize in honour of N.P. Antsiferov. The prize was founded in 1995 by the initiative of the International Charitable Foundation for the Renaissance of St. Petersburg-Leningrad and the Baltic Humanitarian Fund. It is awarded every two years (since 1996) for best academic papers and articles on St. Petersburg history, as well as for overall contribution to the field of St. Petersburg studies (since 1998). Antsiferov Award winners were: A.V. Kobak, Y.M. Piryutko, A.M. Gordin, M.A. Gordin, S. Kepsu (Finland) in 1996; Y.N. Bespyatykh, Y.M. Ovsyannikov, E. Cross (Great Britain), B.M. Kirikov, N.P. Shmitt-Fogelevich in 1998; A.Y. Razumov, M.S. Beyzer (Israel), V.V. Antonov, E.V. Anisimov in 2000; S.B. Gorbatenko, A.G. Vladimirovich, T.K. Goryshina, K. Schlegel (Germany), V.G. Lisovsky in 2003. Antsiferov Award can not be given twice or posthumously. The works sent in for the award form the Antsiferov Library.
