ISKUSSTVO LENINGRADA (The Art of Leningrad), a monthly illustrated journal on politics, social affairs and art publicism. It circulated from July 1989 until April 1991 as an organ of the Ministry for Culture of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic and the Leningrad associations of creative unions (the editorial board was located at 22 Kalyaeva Street). G. F. Petrov held the editorial post. The periodical covered Leningrad's theater, music and art events, published poems, prose, plays, publicistic material, articles on the history and theory of art, copies of paintings by contemporary Leningrad artists, photographs. Among others Y. L. Alyansky, Е. F. Kovtun, А. А. Kravtsova, М. А. Zolotonosov, V. G. Perts, Y. М. Piryutko, I. G. Rayskin, Т. F. Selezneva, O. Y. Yakhnin (art editor) contributed to the journal. Sections Requiem (a passional for artistic political prisoners), Chronicle of vandalism (a chronicle of the city's losses), Neva archive (materials on the lives of Petersburg's prominent citizens).
