SMEZHNY BRIDGE (Soedinitelny or Kryukov Bridge), across Kryukov Canal, on Fontanka River Embankment. It was built in the late 18th - early 19th centuries in the shape of a three-span bridge with wooden framework, replaced with metal in 1888. In 1964, the high sectional steel beams were laid on the bridge for the laying of the heat pipeline (engineer E.E. Rozenfeld). The bridge is 25.9 metres long and 15.4 metres wide.
