MUSEUM OF HISTORY OF REVOLUTIONARY DEMOCRATIC MOVEMENT Of The 1880-1890s (7 Bolshoy Kazachy Lane) was established in 1992 on basis of Lenin Memorial Museum Flat which had existed since 1938. V. I. Ulyanov rented a room in flat 13 in February 1894 - April 1895. A memorial plaque was installed on the house in 1924. A new memorial plaque was placed in 1960. Bolshoy Kazachy Lane and Maly Kazachy Lane were renamed Ilyicha Lanes. The original name was given back to the lanes in 1993. The collection of the museum includes editions of the works by Lenin published during his lifetime, memorial literature, photo materials, posters, a collection of newspapers of 1917-20. The exhibition Thoughts about Democracy in Russia: 19th Century is devoted to various stages of development of the revolutionary and public movement in Russia from the Decembrists to People's Will. The exhibition of local lore tells about the history of construction in this part of the city. Thematic exhibitions are arranged in the show-room of the museum (9 Bolshoy Kazachy Lane), sittings of the Youth History And Politics Club are also held here.
