February. The First Tsarskoye Selo Museum Workers Conference was held in the Stasov Hall of the Catherine Palace, since this year the conference was held annually.

February. The wooden Holy Cross in the memory of the destroyed temple and the St. Martyr Ioann (Kochurov), who was burried under it, was placed in the central square of Tsarskoye Selo Town on the initiative of believers.

24 June. The first "Tsarskoye Selo Carnival" was held on the initiative of the Head of the culture department N.I. Metelev and a creative group under the direction of I.V. Gavryushkin.

The Centre of Reproductive Technology, where sterility problems are successfully solved, was opened.
