The Hause of Kannobio ( the wooden house, a splendid example of the Russian Classicism) was built according to the design of V.I. Geste in Leontyevskaya Street (its present address is 18 Leontyevskaya Street).

8 January. Aleksandr Pushkin red his poem "Recollections in Tsarskoye Selo" during the public examination at the Lyceum, and the poet G.R. Derzhavin, who was at the exam, was delighted by this poem.

19 September. V.A. Zhukovsky informed P.A. Vyazemsky "I had the pleasant first introduction to the our young miracle-worker Pushkin. I was one minute at him in Tsarskoye Selo <…> We must all be united to help this future giant to grow, he must outgrow all". Derzhavin Gavriil Romanovich
