KAPLAN Isaac Mikhailovich (1924-1997, Leningrad), art director. He graduated from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography in 1950. Worked at Lenfilm from 1953, he filmed approximately 30 films, many of them together with B. S. Manevich. He worked continuously with director I. E. Heifits including in such films as Rumyantsev Case in 1956, My Dear Fellow in 1958, Lady with the Dog in 1960, Horizon in 1962, In the Town of S in 1967, and A Bad Good Man in 1973. He also took part in Mama Got Married directed by V. V. Melnikov in 1970, Torpedo Bombers directed by S. D. Aranovich in 1983, etc. St. Petersburg and Leningrad appear in Unfinished Story directed by I. F. Ermler in 1955, Overcoat by A. V. Batalov in 1960, and Day of Happiness by Heifits in 1964. His last address in St. Petersburg was at 35 Kronverksky Avenue. He was buried at Komarovskoe Cemetery.
