KHLEBNIKOV Velimir (the real name and patronymic Viktor Vladimirovich) (1885-1922) was a poet, theorist of futurism. He was a student of Kazan University from 1903, in 1908-11, he was a student of the Department of Natural History, later of the Faculty of History and Philology at Petersburg University (although he did not graduate). He attended meetings at the Tower of Vyach. I. Ivanov, he took part in the Academy of the Poem at the journal Apollon. From 1910 he came to St. Petersburg from time to time, he came for the last time in 1917. The poetry by Khlebnikov is marked by daring language experiments, searching for the "word itself" which greatly influenced the Russian poetry of the 20th century. The Word is the most important means for understanding the universal laws of Time and Space and the incarnation of the world's harmony in the Utopia of Khlebnikov. Khlebnikov develops the motives of the Bronze Horseman by Pushkin in the poem Ladomir (1920-21). During the Civil War he wandered about the country not finding a refuge anywhere. He lived on Maly Avenue of Vasilievsky Island, the section of the house 17; at 48 Eleventh Line of Vasilievsky Island; on Donskaya Street, the section of the house 11; on 53 Twelfth Line of Vasilievsky Island.
