MOSHKOV LANE named Zaporozhsky Lane after a Ukrainian city in 1952-89, between Dvortsovaya Embankment and Moika River Embankment. It was laid in the first quarter of the 18th century and named after houseowner and Master of the Household P. I. Moshkov in the 1740s. House 20/2 constructed at the corner of Dvortsovaya Embankment in 1730s has retained its proportions since that time. Writer Count V. A. Sollogub lived in the house in 1817-27. Prince V. F. Odoevsky lived in house 20/1 in 1820-30s, which was built in the mid-18th century and rebuilt by architect R. A. Gedike in 1877-78. Building 7 was constructed in 1920-30s.
