GOLDGOR David Semenovich (1912, St. Petersburg - 1982, Leningrad), architect, graphic artist. Graduated from the Leningrad College of Engineering and Urban Planning (1934). He was in charge of the workshop of Lenproject Institute (from 1953). In 1950s, the Narvskaya metro station, the administrative building at 62 Suvorovsky Avenue, and the railway station in Vyborg were built based on his designs. In the 1960s-80s, the workshop of Goldgor was in charge of designing and building districts of pre-fabricated large-panel buildings: Shchemilovka, Kupchino, the right bank of the Neva (the square next to Volodarsky Bridge). In 1967-77, large-scale works on Sinopskaya Embankment and Alexander Nevsky Square were carried out (Мoscow Hotel, the Heating Station), the buildings of the House of Political Education (1974) Leningrad Regional Administration near Smolny (1975-81), the Flowers Pavilion on Shpalernaya Street, Nevsky Memorial Complex were built, reconstruction and building of the odd-numbered side of Shpalernaya Street was carried out; a Crematorium complex was built. He is buried at Bolsheokhtinskoye Cemetery.
