Three Hundred Anniversary of St. Petersburg Memorial Park

Categories / City Topography/Green Areas/Parks

THREE HUNDRED ANNIVERSARY OF ST. PETERSBURG MEMORIAL PARK was laid out in the 1990s in the north-western outskirts of St. Petersburg, in the western part of Staraya Derevnya. It is being laid out on the alluvial territory between Primorsky Avenue and the bank of Neva Bay, on the Sobakina shoal. The works are developed on the territory with the length circa 1500 metres and with the width up to 450 metres. The park will be limited by the arm of Lakhtinsky High Water from the west and by the traverse of Yakhtennaya Square from the east. Planning of the park is regular but there are also elements of the landscape design. Conifers (firs, pines, larches) and hardwoods (lindens, maples, oaks, birches etc.) are planted in the park. They alternate with flower beds and sculptures. The park is a place for rest and recreation. Y. P. Selivestrov.
