DYUNY, a Forest Park, spreading out along the coast of the Gulf of Finland forming a strip of approximately 13 by 3-4 km between the northern outskirts of Sertroretsk and Solnechnoe village. It was established in 1968 at a place with a picturesque combination of sand hills (hence the name), pine woods and sand coasts if the gulf with rare boulders. Its area is 361 hectares. It had recreational and health-improving functions. Many sanatoria, rest houses and holiday homes (the White Nights, the Sand Hills, etc.) are situated on the territory of the forest park. The area of its sand beaches is 14.4 hectares. There are nests of swimming birds in water-meadows of Sestra River crossing Dyuny Forest Park, banks of the latter are covered with underbrush of bird cherry, willows, aspens, birches and alders. There are two reinforced concrete pillboxes remained from the time of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45 in the highest hills.
