April. Mortar man - Lieutenant Abram Yakovlevich Shalyt, a pre-war citizen of Detskoye Selo, returned from the front and began to work as a correspondent of the district newspaper "The Bolshevik Word", he worked at this newspaper for more than forty years.

1 September. 7 secondary schools having 4,140 pupils worked in Pushkin Town.

The Pushkin Town bread-baking plant resumed its work, now it is JSC "Mariental".

Poet Sergei Vasilyevich Pogorelovsky, the author of more than sixty books of poems for children, settled at the house no. 28 in Novaya Street (1910-1995 ).
