M. M. ZOSHCHENKO LITERARY MEMORIAL MUSEUM (4/2 M. Konyushennaya Street), opened in 1992. Founded upon a joint initiative of St. Petersburg literary figures, the museum was located in the house where M. M. Zoshchenko lived from 1934 to 1958 except for the time spent in evacuation. The museum occupies a two-room apartment with a memorial study containing the original furniture, Zoshchenko's personal belongings and a literary exposition dedicated to his work. It features some of the writer’s manuscripts (most of his manuscripts are stored in the Script Department of Russian Literature Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences). The writer's library was handed over to the museum by Moscow literary critic Y. V. Tomashevsky.
