Tregubovich Viktor Ivanovich (1935-1992), film director

TREGUBOVICH Viktor Ivanovich (1935-1992, St. Petersburg), film director, People's Artist of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (1987), honoured worker of the arts of Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (1976). He graduated from the Producing Faculty of the VGIK (1963). In 1963 he became director at the Lenfilm Studio. From 1984, he worked as the artistic director of the Second Creative Union of Lenfilm. In 1990, he became artistic director of the Ladoga Film Studio. Tregubovich made over 20 films, including At War as At War (1968), Old Walls (1973, the State Prize of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic named after the Vasilyev brothers, 1976), Leaving – then Leave (1978), and A Rouge's Saga (1984). Tregubovich's works are distinguished by their sharp social content and satirical elements. His works as an actor include the films Workers' Quarters (1962) and Dude Water Winner (1991). He was honoured with the State Prize of the RSFSR (1987). He lived on the 18 Makarova Embankment, and was buried at Komarovskoe Cemetery.
