BOGATYRSKY AVENUE, a part of the central ring road lying between Kolomyazhsky Avenue and Kamyshovaya Street. The name of Bogatyrsky Avenue and the neighbouring streets is associated with the history of national aviation - the first multi-engine airplanes Russky Vityaz and Ilya Muromets were named after bogatyrs, Russian epic heroes. The avenue is mainly built up with residential houses. House 1 erected by architect V. F. Drozdov et al. in 2003 completes the image of the avenue. House 18 accommodates the Northwestern Customs Terminal. Pionerskaya metro station was opened not far from the avenue in 1982.
