PODYACHESKAYA SREDNAYA STREET joins Griboedova Canal Embankment in its bend in the region of its intersection with Rimskogo-Korsakova Avenue. Since 1739 - Prikaznaya Admiralteiskaya Street, in the second half of the 18th century - Second Podyacheskaya Street (after the profession of its residents - see Podyacheskaya Bolshaya Street). It received its contemporary name in the 1820s. The majority of buildings date back to the 18th-20th centuries: building 4 (late 18th - early 19th centuries), building 5 (early 19th century, overbuilt in 1912), building 7 (early 19th century), building 11 (late 18th - early 19th centuries, overbuilt in 1902). A.M. Kollontay (building 15, 1870s) and poet I.V. Severyanin (building 5, 1910s) lived in Podyacheskaya Srednaya Street.
