LAZAREV Nikolay Vasilievich (1895, Tsarskoe Selo, St. Petersburg Province - 1974, Leningrad), pharmacologist, M. D. in 1936, and Professor in 1938. He graduated from the Kiev Medical Institute in 1925. Living in Leningrad from 1929, he worked at the Institute of Occupational Hygiene and Diseases, Research Institute of Chemistry and Pharmaceutics, Naval Medical Academy, and Research Institute of Oncology. One of the founders of the Soviet industrial toxicology, he developed a number of medicines. He was buried in the cemetery settlement of Pesochny.
