IVASHENTSOV Gleb Alexandrovich (1883-1933, Leningrad), doctor of infectious diseases, organiser of hospitals. He graduated from the Military Medical Academy (1907). In 1922-33 he was chief doctor of Botkin Hospital for Infectious Diseases and was responsible for its reconstruction. Concurrently, from 1927 he was professor and head of the Chair of Infectious Diseases of the First Leningrad Medical Institute. In 1935, a street was named after Ivashentsov (Professora Ivashentsova Street, formerly Zolotonoshskaya Street). He was buried in Communist Section of Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
