DYUNY (Dunes), an area in the north part of Sestroretsk, on the coast of the Gulf of Finland. The name is conditioned by the terrain structure: sand-dunes covered with a pine forest. In 1918-40, the frontier with Finland ran along Rzhavaya Kanava (Rusty Ditch) and flowed through Dyuny. There are no residential houses in Dyuny; only the White Nights Health Resort, Dyuny Holiday Hotel and a Recreation Complex and other health and recreation facilities located among its pine forests and sandy beaches.
