RUSANOVKA, an area to the south-east boundary of St. Petersburg, at the end of Oktyabrskaya Embankment, on the site where the Utka River flows into the Neva. The region was named after landlords Rusanov, who owned the local saw-mill since the late 19th century. Today on the territory of Rusanovka, there is the Prinevsky Breeding Plant and the 1970s residential area of Krasny Oktyabr state owned farm.
